breach in faith

This reading had a breach show up in the original template. I always trust in the markings that come through, even in the bones.

Its complex coloring describes someone working on finding a balance between pragmatism and faith; trust versus skepticism. It can feel like a fine line at times, and is one we continually recalibrate through our experiences.

I personally believe that I am a co-creator to my life’s successes and failures, thereby I am fully responsible for what I call ‘life’s controllable’s.’ I am required to turn the ideas into action. To put the paint to paper. To show up and do the work, take the classes, make the leap, teach the teachings, share the musings; to do the exercises, ask for help, take care of my body, and use my money wisely.

I give up life’s uncontrollable’s in full faith to Spirit and the universe. I have faith that as long as I continue to live my purpose, however offbeat it seems, my needs will be met and my family will be provided for. That the appointments will come and my events will be as full as they need to be.

I have faith that I’ll meet the right doctors and in the right timing. I believe in the advice I receive from Spirit, and that my journey, however challenging, is all for reason.

Faith takes trust and trust takes time to build. This applies to faith and trust in ourselves, too. The best thing we can do is continually show up for ourselves and pay attention when the breaches in our faith appear. If you find yourself wavering, we can break our situation down to the controllable’s and uncontrollable’s: what can I do and where do I need the universe to show up for me? Make a chart, post it where you’ll see it, then follow through and do your part. You may be surprised on how the universe steps in and does theirs.

An Abundance of Helpers

Blue jay peeks his head out first, then bear, then groundhog, spider and lastly, elephant. Each animal holds a particular medicine and message regarding their placement on her body. While those messages are personal, we do get to see that this woman is very protected and loved.

One of the things her Chakragraph shares with me is that she’s heading into a year of opportunities. She’ll really be encouraged to think and step outside of the box (‘the box’ being a proverbial place where she stays in her comfort zone).

We often call on help from the Universe, God, Spirit, etc., when we’re ready to make a change in our life. What happens though is many of us have a boundary line we stay behind. A safe zone. We want to have a new beginning. We want to live a heart-filled, adventurous life. We want to cultivate meaningful relationships but we don’t want to have to step outside of our safe zone to do it.

I totally get it— marketing ourselves is tough. Updating the resume, tagging along to the party, saying yes to the invite, it all can feel like a chore instead of an opportunity but we have to be willing to meet the Universe half way. We need to be putting ourselves into position where our wishes can find us.

If you feel like you have a very strong boundary box built on routine or fear, the recommendation that came through for her was a good one: start small. Begin making subtle changes. Incorporate a new color into your wardrobe that you admire but wouldn’t ordinarily wear. Take a new route to work. Change your coffee to tea. Shake up your breakfast menu. We don’t have to jump out of the safety box. We don’t have to burn it down. If we start small, we can build momentum in bigger changes because we’re building confidence and showing the scared or wounded aspect of ourselves that we’re thankful for it’s protection, but change can be fun and we are always in control of how we respond to it.

Blessings —

What Stabilization Looks Like
IMAGE.JPG

Today’s portrait wears the hallmark of a halo, a symbol of a devout relationship and position of hierarchy within a religious doctrine in the immediate ancestral line, or as a direct relationship for the sitter (client) themselves. Affirming this, she related that she was born into a sect of an Evangelical ministry that her father helped create and stabilize in the hills of Kentucky. The color of the halo fades to more of an ochre than a golden yellow, so I believe that she branched away from where her spiritual teachings began. She agreed, saying that she chose to be a student of the universe but her parents remained disciplined and committed to the doctrine until their passing.

I always think it’s interesting that those who follow and contribute to an orthodox doctrine get to wear a halo in these. I don’t believe it speaks to saintliness, but more to a committed relationship with the divine and someone on a true quest to know the God of their times.

Her chart is pretty stable and I was worried there wasn’t too much to talk about. She’s ended up being late in her seventies, so that just made so much sense. She doesn’t carry the weight of questions and consequences like we do in our youth. People my age, mid-thirties to mid-forties, are hit the worst with these. We’re no longer the baby caterpillars of our twenties, engorging ourselves on endless drama and experiences. Things have mellowed. We’re pupas now, asking the big questions based around liberation and freedom. The chrysalis is a perfect example of the restriction that happens before transformation occurs. We feel the effects of our life like a straightjacket and we either submit and surrender, letting the universe transform us in its processes, or we avoid being still and force ourselves to stay a caterpillar for as long as we can.

You can see how clean this woman is though— just scrolling back through a few charts (#chakragraphs) on my page you’ll see the stark differences in comparison of age and youth. I absolutely believe the best thing to ever happen to me has been the passage of time. This gives proof to that theory and I’m happy for it.

a year of passage

Ancestors continue to show up on charts in big ways. I can’t help but think about my own and my personal experiences with family; all the things left unresolved.

We have such a responsibility to do right by our children. Being true to ourselves to be true for them is THE most important job we could ever do. I was never more proud of my mama then when she would pack up our things time and time again, sometimes three times in a year, to move away from her abusers. It didn’t matter that she put us in that space to hear/witness/become the repercussions of her bad choices. What mattered was that she found the courage go.

communication focused

2016, 17, & 18 have brought this woman on a powerful, life transformative journey. She’s really been trying to refine the ideas of herself and exploring both the trenches and the light of the divine feminine.

Communication is THE word around her chart. It’s the whole message in a nutshell. Communication with herself, between the masculine aspect and feminine aspect, and with the literal physical world. Creative writing, journaling, new languages, even speaking up and speaking out are all parts of her journey now and moving forward.

What I loved about that — recent consideration of a blog or book has been discussed. Also, she’s heading to an intensive Spanish study in the fall to begin a new career as a linguist. Bazinga.

14 is a number that I see on her chart which is a number associated as Karmic Debt surrounding freedom. It can show up in our chart when in prior lives we abused ours or others. For this lifetime we are put in challenges and circumstances that encourage us to get dirty with all its aspects. She has felt that freedom suppression her entire life, so she gets it. The good thing is that road is paved in gold; she’s done the work. She’s released a bulk of the debt and now she gets to move forward and learn about the lighter side of freedom: release from a toxic marriage. Claiming her voice over well-intending but controlling family. Freedom of self-expression, travel, movement— the freedom to put her life first. That sense of liberation shows up in her head. It’s like the sky of a rising sun, full of promise, potential, and innocent hope for the day to come.
